I threw a little "pajama spa" party for her in the thick of morning sickness, but since FIVE is such a big birthday I couldn't skip it. I kept it very simple and all the girls had lots of fun! The girls started off with pancakes, (Kate's absolute favorite for breakfast, lunch, or dinner), then played classic slumber party games (the cotton ball game, egg on a spoon game, etc.) the girls gave Kate a makeover, we made homemade lip gloss, and we called it a day! The girls all got to come in their pajamas and were gifted a silk kimono and some other girly goodies for their favor. It was all sorts of girly fun and right up Kate's ally!

kate is five!
Our precious Kate turned five on January 5th! Goodness we love her to bits! I remember since she was a such a little spitfire toddler we were SO sure she was going to be our "hard kid". She has ended up becoming THE best kiddo you could ask for. She is so helpful, sweet, friendly, & just the best. She is still our crazy little Katester, but we wouldn't change a thing. Some things I want to remember about Kate at this age is how inclusive she is of others, how great of a big sister she is to Ella, how smart she is and how much she loves to learn, her silliness, and how great of a singer she is!
