The girls had their annual summer dance show earlier this month, which is easily one of my favorite days of the year! They both did awesome and looked SO cute. This year Aubrey was in Magical Ballet and grew bored of it throughout the year. She dreaded going most weeks so we told her she could quit after the season was over. After watching Kate's show (their performances were on separate nights) she LOVED watching all the tap performances. The songs are more upbeat and the dances are a little more fun so I could totally see why she preferred it. I asked if she wanted to do tap next year and she said yes! I'll admit I've never been a huge tap fan but can honestly say the dances really are more fun to watch. Kate and Aubrey will be able to take the same class next year which will be REALLY nice to only have to drive to/pick up from one class, only go to one performance, etc. I can't wait to watch them tap their little hearts out next year!
Here are some pictures I took of the girls on the day of their performances. I never got a chance to do Aubrey's studio shots, but she's not a fan of doing pictures anyways so she doesn't mind one bit. Kate however... she's all about it.
Kate danced a tap number to "Walking on Sunshine" and Aubrey danced ballet to some classical song that I don't know the name of.
